Satisfy a Proficiency Requirement

Demonstrate you have already mastered the content of college math or a foreign language.

  1. Purchase and register for CLEP test online through College Board.
  2. Pay the $93 CLEP exam fee online at the time of registration.
  3. Print your CLEP registration ticket. You will need to bring it to your testing appointment.
    Please note: Each registration ticket is valid for six months from the date of purchase.
  4. Email the Testing Center to schedule a proctoring appointment.
    • Please include your full name, CLEP test you plan on taking, desired campus, and requested test date.
  • Your ID: ID must be government issued (driver’s license, passport, state ID, etc.)
  • Payment: $25 administrative fee (payable to Hennepin Technical College by cash or credit card)
  • CLEP Registration Ticket for your exam
  • Scratch paper and pencils
  • Ear plugs and noise canceling headphones are available
