Are you passionate about plants and sustainable agriculture? At Hennepin Tech, our two-year Greenhouse Management program offers comprehensive training to prepare you for an exciting career in horticulture.
Our two-year greenhouse management degree program provides a perfect blend of hands-on experience and classroom learning. You’ll dive deep into plant science, greenhouse operations, and sustainable agriculture practices. Gain practical skills in irrigation, climate control, and pest management.
Our courses teach students the skills they need in management and to become qualified for additional certifications and licensure. Students gain the ability to oversee greenhouse operations, manage staff, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Students are eligible for continuing credentials as a Certified Greenhouse Grower from the American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS). They also gain the skills needed to obtain a Pesticide Applicator License to apply pesticides.
With courses designed to meet industry standards, you’ll be ready to thrive in various roles such as a greenhouse manager, horticulture technician, or sustainable agriculture expert. Accreditation and Affiliations
Our Landscape Program hosts the MNLA Certified Nursery and Landscape Professional test every January. This is a regional test for industry professionals to become certified in the areas of Landscape Design, Greenhouse Growing and Garden Center Operations.
