Learn practical construction skills with hands-on training and expert guidance. Our curriculum covers the basics of carpentry, including reading blueprints, safety practices, and advanced skills. Gain real work experience through apprenticeships, where you can work as an apprentice carpenter while earning. The program starts in the fall term only at both campuses: Brooklyn Park (Evening), Eden Prairie (Daytime)
Full Construction Experience
Gain hands-on training in framing, roofing, interior and exterior finishing, and remodeling for residential and commercial projects.
Tools, Blueprints & Codes
Build expertise in blueprint reading, proper tool use, and building code compliance while learning sustainable construction practices.
Multiple Career Pathways

Workforce services for eligible adults are available through this program authorized by Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

Tools Required
A tool list will be provided on the first day of class and instructors will work with students to help them create an individualized tool purchasing plan. Various suppliers provide tools at a a discounted price to students enrolled in the program and range from $500 to $2500.
Accreditation and Affiliations
Program faculty meet with the advisory committee bi-annually. The advisory committee consists of industry professionals and student representatives. The advisory committee advises the faculty on budget proposals, industry trends, technology, industry news, curriculum goals, and new courses.
