Overview

This program is designed to give students an introduction to the field of Early Childhood Education and the variety of possible career opportunities. Each of our other programs begins with Certificate-level courses (Diploma, Transfer Pathways AS, AAS). Students will gain skills in child development, guidance, health and safety, professional relations, and strategies for promoting learning in young children.
Students must have a high school diploma or GED. Respect for cultural differences is essential. Good judgment and absolute integrity are also necessary for success in the field of child development.
